Broken Promos

Broken Promos digs through commercials, campaigns and branded ideas that went sideways, then reverse-engineers the creative decisions that somehow survived long enough to become public.

## Channel Overview

There is something uniquely fascinating about a bad ad. A lot of people had to see it. Somebody wrote the brief. Somebody approved the concept. Somebody booked the talent. Somebody watched the final cut in a conference room and said words to the effect of, “I think we have it.” Broken Promos starts there.

The channel is less interested in simply yelling “cringe” at old commercials and more interested in the chain reaction behind them: confused positioning, bizarre casting, impossible product claims, cursed jingles, trend chasing and the kind of feedback-loop compromise that leaves everybody technically represented and nobody happy.

It is advertising criticism disguised as entertainment, which is convenient because Rambling Media also makes advertising. Nothing improves creative discipline like knowing you operate a channel devoted to the evidence.

## Concepts We Explore

- Commercials and branded campaigns whose strategy became visibly lost on the way to production.
- Taglines, product demos, celebrity pairings and jingles that raise more questions than purchase intent.
- Culturally dated ads viewed with context rather than the revolutionary insight that the past was different.
- What the original brief probably wanted versus what the audience actually received.
- Creative lessons hidden inside spectacularly strange execution.

## Format / Creative Approach

Commentary, breakdowns and comedic creative autopsies. Affectionate when possible, merciless when necessary, and permanently grateful that somebody saved the tape.
