This page describes what Rambling Media collects through this website, why, and what you can do about it. It covers ramblingmedia.com only.

## What We Collect

We only collect what you type into one of our two forms. Nothing is gathered in the background.

- **Contact form.** Your name, email address, phone number, subject and message, plus your confirmation that we may store it.
- **Newsletter signup.** Your email address, and the date you signed up.
- **Anti-spam check.** When you submit either form we derive a one-way, salted hash of your IP address so we can rate-limit repeated submissions. Your IP address itself is never written to our database, and the hash cannot be turned back into it.

## How We Use It

Contact submissions are used only to reply to you. Newsletter addresses are used only to send the newsletter. We do not sell your personal information, we do not share it for advertising, and we do not use it to build a profile of you.

## Who Else Handles It

We use a small number of service providers to run the site. They process your information on our behalf, not for their own purposes.

- **Supabase** — stores form submissions and newsletter signups.
- **Lovable** — delivers our outbound email (the notification of your inquiry, and the newsletter welcome message).
- **Cloudflare** — serves the site.

## Analytics and Cookies

**We use Google Analytics 4, and only if you accept it.** Nothing analytics-related loads until you choose “Accept All” on the consent banner. If you decline, or never answer, no analytics script is loaded and no analytics cookie is written.

If you do accept, Google Analytics collects:

- a random identifier for your browser, so repeat visits can be counted once;
- the pages you view on this site, and when;
- an approximate location derived from your IP address (country/region level);
- basic device and browser details, such as screen size and operating system.

It sets cookies named `_ga` and `_ga_<id>`, which last up to two years. We do not use Google Analytics for advertising: advertising storage, ad personalisation and ad-user-data signals are all left switched off, and we do not run remarketing or send your details to any ad platform. Google acts as our processor for this, uses IP anonymisation, and its handling is covered by its own privacy terms.

We also store your answer to the banner in local storage under `rm-cookie-consent` so we do not ask again on every page. It stays on your device and is never sent to us.

## Your Privacy Choices

You can change your mind at any time using the “Cookie preferences” link in the footer. Declining there stops analytics immediately and deletes the Google Analytics cookies from your browser. Clearing your browser storage has the same effect.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising — under California law (CCPA/CPRA) there is nothing here to opt out of on that front. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a decline automatically and never show you the banner.

## Third-Party Content

Some pages load resources from other companies, which means those companies can see your IP address and browser details as part of serving the request:

- **Google Fonts** — our typefaces load from Google's servers on every page.
- **YouTube** — video thumbnails load from Google's image CDN. The video player itself only loads once you press play, and we use YouTube's no-cookie player so it does not set advertising cookies.

## How Long We Keep It

Newsletter addresses are kept until you unsubscribe. Contact submissions are deleted automatically one year after you send them — a scheduled job removes them, so it does not depend on anyone remembering. Anti-spam hashes are deleted automatically within 24 hours. You can ask us to delete anything sooner at any time.

## Your Choices

Every newsletter email carries an unsubscribe link, and you can unsubscribe here (https://ramblingmedia.com/unsubscribe) at any time. You can also ask us to tell you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it — email the address below and we will action it. If you are in the UK, EU or California, these rights are yours by law and we will not charge you or make it difficult.
