An audit and a content matrix for organic growth, delivered as a prioritized roadmap of briefs. You execute; we make sure you are executing the right things.

A content and search audit plus a full content matrix for organic growth, delivered as a prioritized stack of briefs your writers can start on Monday. Advisory only — we plan it, you build it.
This is the strategy half of what we do, sold on its own. The same approach produced roughly 10x organic growth on the WAY engagement and the editorial layer behind the Crowd Cow case study.
Plenty of teams already have writers, a CMS and a publishing cadence. What they do not have is a defensible answer to which page to write next, and why that one before the other forty. So the blog fills up with well-written content nobody searched for, and the pages that would have ranked never get commissioned.
This engagement fixes the input, not the output. We audit what exists, map the query space you have a legitimate right to own, and hand back a content matrix: clusters of demand mapped to page types, intent, funnel stage, priority and internal-link targets. Underneath it sits a stack of briefs — target query, angle, outline, the proof the page needs, the links it should carry and how you will know it worked.
Then we leave. Deliberately. Your team knows your product, your customers and your legal review better than we do, and a brief written well enough does not need us in the room. You get a roadmap you own, in files you can edit, with no dependency on our calendar.
We are also willing to tell you the unpopular version: that half the existing library should be merged or deleted, that the term you want to rank for is owned by three retailers with a decade of authority, or that the real opportunity is boring and high-converting rather than exciting and unwinnable.
If you would rather somebody executed it, that is a different engagement: the Growth Package runs content, search and site work as one monthly scope, and Programmatic SEO handles the clusters big enough to deserve a page system instead of a brief.
What's Included
- Content and search audit: inventory, performance, cannibalization, and keep/fix/merge/delete calls
- Competitive and SERP analysis for the clusters that matter
- Query-space mapping and opportunity sizing by cluster and page type
- Content matrix: cluster, intent, funnel stage, page type, priority and internal-link targets
- Prioritized content briefs with target query, angle, outline, proof requirements and success measure
- Site and internal-linking architecture recommendations
- Measurement plan: which reports to watch and what movement to expect by when
- Handover walkthrough with your writers and whoever owns the site
What You Get
- An audit document with decisions, not observations.
- The content matrix as a working spreadsheet you own and can extend.
- A prioritized brief stack, sequenced so early wins fund the patience for the slow ones.
- An architecture and internal-linking plan.
- A measurement plan and one handover session.
What This Is Not
- We do not write the content.
- We do not publish, upload or format anything in your CMS.
- We do not run outreach, ads or link building on this engagement.
- We are not on retainer afterward unless you ask us to be.
- It is a roadmap, and roadmaps only help people who drive.
The Engagement
- 01
Audit
Everything you have published, how it performs, where pages compete with each other and what is quietly dragging the whole domain down.
- 02
Opportunity map
The query space, the competitive reality of each cluster and an honest read on which ones you can win in the next two, six and twelve months.
- 03
Matrix and briefs
Clusters mapped to page types and intent, then written into individual briefs a writer can execute without a strategy meeting.
- 04
Handover
A walkthrough with the people doing the work, the measurement plan, and the sequence to publish in. Then it is yours.
Tell us what you have published and what you wish ranked. You will get back an audit, a matrix and a brief stack — and nobody will try to sell you a retainer at the end of it.
